Vesta Travel Mug
Just like the embracing walls of Vesta's temple kept the priestesses warm next to the sacred fire, the embrace of this travel mug keeps your coffee or tea warm on your commute!
The V symbol is my stylized version of the astronomical symbol for the asteroid Vesta, which flies overhead, in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. You can see the symbolism of the sacred hearthfire in this image, with a flame reaching out of the V-shaped hearth.
The words VESTA AETERNA are Latin for Eternal Vesta. We see this inscription on ancient coins with images of Vesta. I also use this phrase in my novels--the Vestals pray to "Vesta Aeterna" before making a libation or offering to the goddess.
