Vesta Water Vessel
Pure water was important to the Vestals. They drew sacred water from springs and cleaned the temple and altar with it daily. So think of that every time you take a sip from this water vessel... you aren't just hydrating yourself, you're purifying your body with Mother Nature's lifeblood.
The V symbol is my stylized version of the astronomical symbol for the asteroid Vesta, which flies overhead, in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. You can see the symbolism of the sacred hearthfire in this image, with a flame reaching out of the V-shaped hearth.
The words VESTA AETERNA are Latin for Eternal Vesta. We see this inscription on ancient coins with images of Vesta. I also use this phrase in my novels--the Vestals pray to "Vesta Aeterna" before making a libation or offering to the goddess.
